Case Study: Bigbelly & Prismier Scale the BB6

Unlike automated marketplaces where the digital quote is a rigid "take-it-or-leave-it" price, we understand that real business requires flexibility. If your target price isn't met initially, our engineers will collaborate with you to adjust tolerances, materials, or manufacturing methods to optimize the cost without compromising the functional integrity of your design.
We offer rapid, cost-effective digital quoting to give you fast control over your project. However, we do not let an unfeeling algorithm make critical mistakes on your custom designs. Before manufacturing starts, our in-house tooling and design engineers thoroughly scrutinize your CAD models to provide practical, real-world Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) insights. We host collaborative review sessions to walk through geometry, tolerances, and tool layouts to ensure zero surprises during production.
We accept almost all industry-standard 3D and 2D files, including: .step, .stp, .igs, .iges, .sldprt, .sldasm, .x_t, .x_b, .sat, .sab, .ipt, .dwg, .dxf, .prt, .stl, and .pdf.
Note: We program and manufacture your parts directly from your 3D CAD files. If your parts have critical tolerances, thread callouts, custom hardware, welding, or specific paint/plating finishes, please upload a 2D control drawing alongside your 3D file so our quality team can verify them.
For high-volume production, we don't rely on basic automated software. Instead, our senior estimating engineers perform a deep, customized review of your files to optimize material yields, evaluate progressive stamping tool layouts, design multi-cavity injection molds, and build custom pricing structures to lower your piece-part costs.
Yes. You can export standard formats (like .STEP or .IGS) directly from your CAD system and upload them to our portal. Our engineering team works natively inside SOLIDWORKS, making it incredibly easy to redline drawings, share model modifications, and collaborate directly with your design team.
Yes. If you have a physical legacy part but lack the original CAD files, our engineering team can use advanced 3D scanning, metrology, and physical measurement techniques to reverse-engineer the part and draft fully compliant, production-ready 3D models and 2D control drawings for your approval.
